Philosophy: Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance
Am reading the book "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance", and the mind rocks. These are one for deep thought..
- The truth knocks on the door and you say, "Go away, I'm looking for the truth", and so it goes away.
- You always suppress momentary anger at something you deeply & permanent hate.
- You can't really think hard about what you're doing and listen to the radio at the same time.
- Your common sense is nothing more than the voices of thousands and thousands of these ghosts from the past. Ghosts and more ghosts. Ghosts trying to find their place amongst the living.
- You follow these little discrepancies long enough and they sometimes open up into huge revelations.
